It is with great pleasure that we present Green Mountain Academy’s 2015 summer catalog of courses, lectures and special events. I think each year our programs get better and I hope you agree. We have talks on very timely topics in the news, programs in the humanities, and a more robust science category. I’m most excited about working with the other arts organizations in the community under the umbrella of Hills Alive, where we are collaborating in ways we can all enhance what we offer. And I’m happy we are broadening our reach a bit more by tapping into talent and resources in Bennington and Cambridge, New York.
You will notice that many of our Tuesday lectures are being held at the new Manchester Community Library. This beautiful new facility has welcomed GMALL and helped us to establish some regularity in our schedule. We are also holding a number of programs at the Southern Vermont Arts Center’s Yester House, which is a lovely space adorned with art and acoustically pleasing. This facility is a treasure in our community and I hope many of you take advantage of all it has to offer. And we are once again fortunate to have space at Burr and Burton Academy, Equinox Terrace, Equinox Village, and Maple Street School. We are grateful to each and every one.
We are also grateful for the support of our donors, sponsors, and advertisers. Your support helps cover costs such as instructor fees, venue fees, and marketing of events not met by program fees alone. We also welcome middle and high school students to attend our programs at no cost, so your donation dollars are helping our local youth to enrich what they are already learning in school and to become lifelong learners.
If you like what we do and would like to support our mission and efforts, you may mail a check in the envelope provided in our catalog. Or you may go to our website, www.greenmtnacademy.org and make an online donation there.
We’re looking forward to a fabulous summer season and hope to see you at our events.
