January 2010
Dear Friends,
We are happy to present to you the Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning’s 2010 summer catalogue of courses, lectures, and special events. On the heels of a successful winter season, we are continuing to offer a variety of high quality programs, bringing back some favorite speakers and also introducing some new ones. We are always interested in your suggestions and do our best to put together programs that are of great interest.
Our website continues to play an important role in keeping you up to date on new programming. It also serves as a resource for programs that have already run. Visit our blog page where we provide you with recipes from our popular culinary series, information provided by speakers to allow you to do further reading on a topic, and newspaper editorials. We also introduced the new video library to which we will add videotaped lectures. And we’ve made the jump into social networking by joining Facebook. By becoming a fan of GMALL on Facebook, you will stay current on upcoming programs and can review past ones. It’s another way of expanding our reach and growing the organization.
None of this would be possible without the generous support of our donors, to whom we are truly grateful. Your financial support makes a difference in allowing us to keep our course fees at an affordable level while attracting outstanding speakers. As you may notice, some of our fees this year have been lowered as we are very mindful that these are still tough economic times for so many. It is important to us that our programs be accessible to all. Donor support also allows us to provide scholarships when needed.
Please consider making a donation to Green Mountain Academy for Lifelong Learning and help us to maintain our mission. You may do so by using the envelope provided in this catalogue or by donating securely online at www.greenmtnacademy.org. On behalf of the Board of Directors and Advisory Council, many thanks for your continued support, and we hope you enjoy the 2010 summer season.
Sincerely,
Gloria Palmer
Executive Director
