This year’s auction items are as exciting as they are unusual. We would love to have you join us but if you cannot attend you are most welcome to place advance bids. Please call Gloria Palmer at 802.366.1820 to place an absentee bid on any of the following:

It’s a “fantastical, magical, musical extravaganza!” Win an exclusive, private performance by the Weston Theater cast of “Seussical the  Musical” on July 6 at the Long Trail School and invite up to 150 of your best friends of all ages for a theatrical experience they’ll never forget.

Here’s a chance to put together a birthday party or just a memorable summer afternoon for children, grandchildren, or your theater-loving friends. Your winning bid will secure 25 tickets to the “The Fantastic Mr. Fox” at the Dorset Playhouse any Saturday at 2 pm from July 10 to August 14. Mingle with the cast at your private party following the performance on the playhouse lawn.

You won’t want to miss this opportunity to win an evening with former Ambassador Peter Galbraith. Hear first-hand reports about what is going on in the Middle East with this author, commentator and diplomat who has been deeply engaged with the foreign policy issues that command our attention. The winning bid will enjoy lively discussion and dinner for 8 at the elegant Dorset home of Judie Robbins.

If you love dogs you owe yourself this chance to spend an evening with nationally celebrated author and radio show host Jon Katz who writes with deep understanding and rare humor of life with his own dogs on Bedlam Farm. Andrea and Larry Ross are serving dinner for 8 at their beautiful restored home on River Road in Manchester Village.

One of America’s most thoughtful writers and theologians has made Vermont his home for many years but readers all over the world love his insightful and acclaimed works. Fred Buechner’s books have a devoted following for his ability to inspire readers to see the grace in their daily lives. The fortunate winner will have the rare pleasure of hosting a dinner for 8 at the gracious Dorset home of Connie and Bob Ferguson.

He’s been a Wise Man on “Who Wants to be a Super Millionaire” and a lifeline on the regular edition of the show, but he wears his learning lightly and thinks fun is what learning is all about, as his best-selling series “Don’t Know Much About History” attests. It’s sure to be a lively evening for the lucky winners who join Ken Davis for dinner  for 8 at the impeccable Dorset home of Stan Zweck-Bronner.

Gather your best friends together for a glorious week this September or October in a stunning and comfortable home on Nantucket with multiple terraces overlooking the water and all modern amenities. With 4 bedrooms and baths, an open living area with fireplace and gourmet kitchen, this is a rare opportunity to experience la dolce vita.

Celebrate the last days of  summer with an All-American BBQ for 20 at your home in early  September catered by members of the Green Mountain Academy Board of Directors. They’ll bring everything you need, including a memorable menu of late summer fare, set ups, drinks, and impeccable service (including all clean up). Don’t miss this chance to have a truly unique party (the staff is not otherwise available!)
