The Southern Vermont Arts Center will commemorate the centennial of the passage of the 19th Amendment with an exhibition series featuring current work from prominent female artists. Five artistic powerhouses--Misoo Bang, Sarah Tortora, Lauren Booth, Adrien Broom, and Patty Hudak--will show their paintings, sculpture, photography, neon, and site-specific installations both indoors and outdoors. Join us as SVAC Executive Director, Anne Corso, takes us on an artistic journey through the eyes of these five female artists.
This presentation is part of GMALL’s Women ‘20-’20 series commemorating the 100th anniversary of women’s right to vote and celebrating the accomplishments of women in all areas of society.

Anne Corso joined SVAC in 2019, most recently from the Chrysler Museum of Art in Norfolk, Virginia, where she had served as the Director of Education. Prior to her tenure at the Chrysler, she was Director of Education at both the Reading Public Museum in Pennsylvania and at the Delaware Art Museum in Wilmington. Anne holds a B.A. in Art History from Rosemont College in Pennsylvania and an M.A. in Museum Education from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. Anne has participated in the nationally known Getty Leadership Institute for Executive Education; and she currently serves on the board of the Manchester Business Association and is a member of the Vermont Curators Group.
